Raw CHOCCY bars

First installment of FIVE BY FIVE FRIDAYS. Each week we'll share a recipe with 5 ingredients, that takes just 5 minutes.

This is my go-to quick treat/snack/dessert when my sweet tooth is hangry, but I don't want to feed it refined sugar.

All you need are almonds, coconut, raw cacoa, dates and coconut oil (the staples of any GF, raw dessert pantry), plus a food processor or high-powered blender.

Put 5 mins on the clock: Ready, steady, cook!


3/4 cup almonds 1/4 cup desiccated coconut 1/4 cup raw cacao 10 medjool dates 1 tablespoon liquid coconut oil Method

Add all the ingredients to a food processor or high-powered blender. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend for two to three minutes. Stop the machine and stir the mix well. Return the lid and blend for a further two minutes or until smooth and sticky. If you're impatient, form into bars and enjoy as is. More patient? Press into a lined tin or dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cut into rectangles and enjoy.
