Healthy chocolate bars

These are perfect for that 3pm sugar craving, or a perfect snack to take on the go. Like a muesli bar, but minus the nasties, and loaded up with extra chocolately goodness!

Even better they take about 5 minutes to whip up before bed – and then in the morning, you’re delicious treats are ready for your tummy.

Makes 10 bars

Ingredients

½ cup almonds

½ cup desiccated coconut

12 medjool dates

1 tbsp raw cacao powder

1 tbsp water

(optional 2 tbsps of cranberries)

Method

Pit the dates, and blend all ingredients in a food processor for approximately 3-4 minutes, or until the mixture comes together and is sticky to touch.

Press mix firmly into a tin or glass dish, focusing on pressing down the edges.

Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving, although overnight refrigeration renders the best results.
